Demonstrations Expected in Port-au-Prince

Media reports planned demonstrations in the Port-au-Prince area on Sunday, September 30, 2012, to protest cost of living issues. It is anticipated that these demonstrations may continue and/or branch out to other provinces. If, as expected, these demonstrations attract widespread media coverage, they should be easily avoided. As always, please travel with caution, and avoid any/all large public gatherings of protest as they can turn violent abruptly.
