USAID is a federal agency that implements America's foreign economic and humanitarian assistance program in Haiti. Its mission is to assist Haitians with the political, economic, and social development of their country.Specifically, USAID's stated goal is to reduce poverty and build democracy in Haiti.
To achieve this goal, USAID/Haiti has six areas of focus: health, democracy, environment, economic growth, education and food security.
